Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring to my first class?

For yoga, just bring yourself, mats, blocks, straps and bolsters are all available in the studio, but of course if you have a favourite mat for practice please bring it along.

If you're attending Reformer, you'll need some grippy socks, don't worry if you don't have any, I have some in the studio to purchase.

What’s your Cancellation Policy?

You will receive a reminder email the day before your class, cancellations made the day before will receive the return of their class pass to their account, late cancellations, within 24 hours, will lose their class pass.

How often should I attend Classes?

Attend as many yoga classes as you feel is right for you. As the intensity is low, it's unlikely you will overdo it, but always listen to your body and rest when you feel the need.

To see feel any kind of physical benefits from any movement, Reformer or Vinyasa, consistent practice around 3 times a week is recommended.

What is Reformer Pilates?

The Reformer is a machine originally used within pilates practice for those with injuries to assist them during recovery from injuries and make movement more accessible.

The machine uses a moving carraige and springs to create resistance, the possibilities with this are endless, assisting you to find movements previously unobtainable and allowing you to build muscle and strength under tension.

Who is Reformer Pilates for?

ANYONE!! Women, Men, Any age, almost any ability, the reformer machine can be used to enhance any movement, some of the most simple movements are the most satisfying when adding in the resistance.

My two boys & my niece have also had a try and absolutely loved it.

Do you have parking?

There's parking directly outside the studio, this is reserved for myself and neighbouring shops, so if these spaces are free, feel free to park here. Otherwise there's a small car park just down the street and a much bigger car park just a few minutes walk away.

Can I practice during pregnancy/post partum?

YES!! A number of our teachers are qualified to specifically guide you pre/post natally, and movement is now encouraged so much more during your pregnancy. There are of course some things to bare in mind and it is best to consult your midwife/doctor before starting in any kind of movement. Please get in touch for our most up to date info on teachers who will be happy to guide you.

Plus we have a specific class Reformer for Mamas&Babies so you don't even need to find a babysitter.
